Regardless of the outcome from the COP15 meeting in Copenhagen, the awareness of the challenges ahead and the need for action is growing every day. New technology ... Clean Technology ... Cleantech alone can not do the job but it is an important part of the solution.
During the COP15 meeting Watreco got the chance to engage in several COP15 related activities both in Malmö and Copenhagen. Many valuable contacts were established and interesting discussions were held. One thing i clear; the need for simple, energy efficient and smart ”in harmony with nature” - solutions is growing rapidly in all parts of the world.

Watreco together with some other hot swedish Cleantech companies met with journalists from several well respected news papers and magazines from all continents.
Road to Copenhagen
The delegates at the Road to Copenhagen event in Malmö got a chance to visit the Malmö Climate Arenas and Watreco guided them at their stop at Eco City - Augustenborg.
Brigth Green
Watreco visited the Bright Green fair, held in Copenhagen during the 12-13th of December, where many valuable contacts were established. The Crown Princess Viktoria of Sweden together with the Swedish Minister of Trade, Ewa Björling, opened the stand of The Swedish Trade Council and tried out the new Symbio City Scenarios software tool.
Ekocentrum
Watreco presented at Ekocentrum when the US Embassy together US companies/authorities made a visit to the Malmö Climate Arena - Sege Park .
CINNS
(Cleantech INN Sweden)
Watreco and the other members of CINNS got a chance to meet with representatives from the Bangladesh government who asked for cooperation on new sustainable solutions in Waste Management, Water Management and renewable Energy. In fifteen to twenty years the population of 140 million people are facing problems with catastrophic dimensions. Simple solutions in harmony with the local environment will be a key factor to overcome the problems.
Hopenhagen
Watreco were invited to present at the Malmö City stand at the Hopenhagen fair at Rådhusplatsen in the center of Copenhagen. A mix of COP15 delegates/visitors and local Copenhagen's visited the fair to discuss ideas, be informed and try out new innovative technology.
On Tuesday the 24th of November the spokes person of The Green Party of Sweden, Maria Wetterstrand, payed a visit to Malmö. One of the stops of the day were at the recently opened Ekocentrum at Segepark. Watreco got a few minutes with Mrs Wetterstrand, who showed great interest in the opportunities with the Watreco technology which is based on Natures own principles and processes. Mrs Wetterstrand showed special interest in the Watreco aerated ponds, that are part of the open Storm Water System at Augustenborg, as she holds a University degree in Limnology*.
*) Limnology is often regarded as a division of ecology or environmental science. Limnology is closely related to aquatic ecology and hydrobiology, which study aquatic organisms in particular regard to their hydrological environment.
Watreco received this year's Cleantech Company of the Year Award and the prize sum of 100 000 Swedish crowns. The reward ceremony completed Stockholm Cleantech Venture Day 2009 - Scandinavia's largest cleantech investment day.
